Crickets and Marketing Messages
Crickets. Yep, that pretty sums up day 2.
Hey, that's how it goes when, according to Seth, the average American gets hit with appx 3k marketing messages/day. We're cool with that. There will be many more crickets before this thing is over.
That's ok...we're in it for the long haul. Besides, between number 1 and number 5, we've got about 16 years before the last one graduates from college.
Hmmm...if I'm doing the math right, that's about 62k t-shirts/year.
Now that's daunting. Especially against the deafening sound of crickets.

The 1million T-Shirt Adventure: Day 1

Today is day 1 of my 1,000,000 t-shirt adventure.
Yep, it sounds crazy. But it's even crazier that the eldest of five children (Allie) takes off for college in approximately 3 years. One year later, Neal follows in her steps. 3 years later Libby follows suit. Four years later, it's Annie, who is followed by Ruthie only 12 months thereafter.
The next 12-13 years should prove quite interesting.
With all these girls, it makes me wonder if I should go ahead and start working on fourbrides.com? Hmmm...wonder if that domain's available?
I'll keep you updated on the progress and hope to add more t-shirts soon.
Allie, our super-creative 15-year old is currently working on her own designs and will be putting them up soon. I made her a challenge - everything that sells with her designs goes straight to her college-bottom-line. It's hard to pass up an offer like that.

1 Million Shirts - Five Kids to College
Want to do something nice for the world? One act of kindness that could possibly change the destiny of our planet as we know it?
Me too. So here it is. Buy a t-shirt and send five children to college.
No really. But not just any children, mind you. Five children that are going to change the world, like, big time.
You know, the kind of change that creates revolutionary technologies that turn the marketplace on its ear. The kind of change that creates crazy awesome scientific miracles which cure the incurable diseases and feed impoverished nations. The kind of change that makes violent crime scream out in fear, "I want my mommy!"
Yep, that would be some serious change.
But then again, we are talking about The Fantastic Five (F5). Yep, five world-changers who would also be my children - four daughters, one son.
Allie - 15. Neal - 13. Libby - 10. Annie - 7. Ruthie - 4.
The plan is lofty. The stakes, huge. But, then again, so is our world.
Here it is...the plan...sell one million "T-Shirts". That's right. 1 m-i-l-l-i-o-n. Piece o' cake, eh?
Well, I suppose it could be...if, if, well, if one million people share the love and buy at least one shirt : )
C'mon folks - we need F5 on that wall. We want F5 on that wall. But they've got to get in and out of college before they can scale the wall.
Help us put them on that wall! Every t-shirt's going to drop 50 cents in F5's fund. We're not trying to fund an Ivy League scholarship here - Texas is full of excellent state schools. And, as it stands, F5's not ashamed to tuck that Texas diploma in it's backpack and begin the world-changing ascent.
I know. People will call me crazy. Hey, they already think I'm crazy, so what's to lose. The price of a t-shirt is what we drop on lunch on our bad day.
Besides, after today, we only have 999,000 t-shirts to go.
Want to make it 998,000?
I've got an inventory of size large (WirelessJobs.com) t-shirts. If you want something else, I can get 'em printed within 2 days. No biggie. Click the button - place the order - be sure to note the size.
Then, send me an email and tell me that you are counting the days until F5 is on the wall.
For the planet.
For F5.
